I checked all fuses and I replaced the ignition switch...same problem so I had to keep investigating.

Suggestion

Turn the key on and try gently turning it to the "stops" when it is in the "run" position.

Hello all, I'm new to both the 996 and rennlist forum. I have a 2002 996 tiptronic convertible. The climate control module appears dead. It will not turn on. No buttons I push will do anything. I've checked what I believe to be all of the fuses that might be the culprit (i.e. I've pulled and checked fuses in the fuse box near the driver's left foot). Any other suggestions before I buy a used one on ebay or have a place rebuild it?

Welcome and nothing to do with you're new. This is not a common problem. Please check fuses B1, C7 and D6.

This could be a sign of a worn Ignition switch. Turn the key on and try gently turning it to the "stops" when it is in the "run" position. (clockwise - counter clockwise) to see if the CCU flickers to life.
