Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Its been a while for me but I am back! Two weeks after buying my 996 Turbo some clown backs into my car (while it was parked) with his tow hitch. The insurance company is buying me a new bumper and I figured I would upgrade to the wicked one. Anyone have any experience with this? And how do the LED wire up? I have searched and did find a lot. TIA - E http://www.ebay.com/itm/140846708289?item=140846708289&viewitem=&vxp=mtr

POST 2Original post

You're better off going Precision Porsche or NR Auto. Lots of fitting and prep work with Wicked plus ZERO after sales support. Look at 6speedonline of a recent member that bought a 991 conversion kit from them.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thank you. I have not heard back from them so you are probably right. I will check into those places too. Thanks! -E

POST 4Original post

I recently got their 996to997 kit. They can be hard to get a hold of sometimes, but they are the only shop I have seen to provide OEM Porsche parts (metal vs. plastic) that have been retrofited to the 996 body. The parts are going into the car this week, so I will report back on fitment, quality control. So far they have been ok to deal with (you just have to email often).

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
