I have replaced the downstream O2 sensor on bank 1 position 2and replaced the plugs.

LOOKING FOR SOME THOUGHTS WHO MAY HAVE GONE CHEAP, LIKE ME, AND THE BEST ROUTE TO GO WITH THESE TWO BRANDS.
Looking at replacing a bad cat off of bank 1. Looking at Magnaflow 49928, originally priced at $981.49 from Hottexhaust.com $676 with a 20% off for 4th of July sale, includes shipping. Also looking at Rockauto's cats. They have Davixo 17103 brand for $290. Porsche brand is out of the question. I'm leaning to the Magnaflow brand. Don't expect Davixo to last very long.
BACKGROUND:
Presently I have a 2004 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet with 56K miles.
I have a CEL that comes on (P4020 code). I have replaced the downstream O2 sensor on bank 1 position 2and replaced the plugs. I also used some Cataclean to clean the cat with no luck.
I do have bore scoring on cylinders 6,5, and some on 3. This is probably the reason why I have a fowled cat.
Other than the CEL, the car runs great with a little bit of oil consumption if I keep the revs up in the 5K zone. Driving normally, the oil consumption is hardly noticeable. Before, I could kill mosquitos at start up with all of smoke. This state doesn't do inspections. I know some will say ignore the CEL but it bugs me seeing it. At 76 y/o, I'm trying to make it out last me.
Please advise.
I do know the magnaflow is 50 state compliant as it has a carb #. If it meets the CA standard then im sure it will not trip a code. No sure abuit longevity as these have been out for only 3-4 years. I havent seen anyone complain about an early failure.
You should use search for a used OEM cat using searchtempest.com or something like that. You can search craigslist and marketplace. I'm sure somebody has an exhaust for sale.
Thought of that but, not knowing the condition of the "used" cat, you could be getting a pig in a poke..... and some people aren't honest while others are but still don't know the condition of the cat.

I found those in 10 minutes, did not look but in one area of the country in marketplace, I'm sure I could find 10 more for sale nationwide.
I have never once since an aftermarket cat even come close to performance as compared to OEM. They usually fail quickly.
