Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I'm guessing the C4S gets wider wheels to fill the fenders, can they fit on the C2s without issue?
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

So after a further research and your guys helpful answers to my last post I have been able to narrow down what my First Porsche will be; a Mk2 C2 Coupe. I need a bit more help with some things that are still puzzling me.
brakes
-What do the different colors of calipers represent, and which cars got what? silver, yellow, red, black?
sport seats
-I'm a skinny guy and really like a full side bolster, but from looking at photos on car ads on eBay, Craigslist, etc. I can't really distinguish sport seats from standard. what is the difference? I suppose I could always swap seats if I don't like them, but who has time for that?
rear width
-Why does the C4S look so much wider in photos? I'm in love with the way it looks, but I read that the difference is less than 2 inches...
2 inches doesn't make that big of a difference, does it? I'm sure my wife would disagree, but we're talking cars here. Is it just the photographer, or does the rear reflector trick your eyes into thinking it's that much wider? I wish there was a 996 C2S.
those of you with Porsche photo-collections, please help -i would love to see some "*** shots" of C2s that accentuate it's hips.
I wish I could see the two cars side by side, but I live in Dallas, Oregon where it would be a day trip just to see a single 911 at a time.
this C4S looks amazing
modifying etiquette (cosmetic mods)
-It seems commonly accepted to swap wings between these cars whether they came with one or not, but how about bumpers? brake swaps? caliper painting? This is kind of why I was asking about the the different brakes are all about. I like the look of the red calipers, but I don't want to inadvertently make myself a poser. while I'm on the subject, wheels... I'm guessing the C4S gets wider wheels to fill the fenders, can they fit on the C2s without issue?
BTW, I really like the marketplace here. I have a feeling that when the time comes, I will very likely purchase from a forum member here.

I painted mine red. Poser or no, I get lots of compliments.
I followed
this thread
and
this thread
when I painted them.
I think that the width of the C4S rear end is very noticeable. The reflector strip and the tail light design accentuate it, but the width is the main factor. The C2 and C4 still have nice hips and nice curves, it's just not as wide. The C4S also sits lower than a stock C2, which may help with the look. There is not a C2S variant of the 996.
Quick guide on 996 calipers:
- Black = C2, targa
- Silver = C4
- Red = larger brakes, used on C4S, turbo and GT3
- Yellow = PCCB ceramic brakes, used on C4S, turbo and GT2
Obviously they can be painted any color and they could be ordered from the factory in any color.
