Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I wonder if you can use the centering tool to adjust it.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

It worked up until recently, and the actual gear works.
I have a new to me 01 twin turbo. It is almost impossible to shift into reverse. Physically impossible. Can someone point this novice in the right direction. Many thanks.
No problems with any other gears. It feels like the lever cannot go all the way to the reverse notch. Even pushing with a lot of force. It is a manual. Thanks.
Can anyone point me to the correct centering tool for my year model? 2001. Or any write ups on what I am looking for, or trying to avoid. Thank you all very much thus far.
Sometimes the shift cable slips out of the bracket down near the transmission. Not sure if this would cause a problem with Only going into reverse or not.
^ You may need some zip ties to properly secure the shifter cable ends into the brackets on the transmission - the clips are wonky and prone to sucking.
As others have mentioned 1st thing to do would be check where the cables mount at the transmission. They easily pop out from that location. That would be the 1st place I would look.
Check the cables are in the brackets on the transmission. Many have slipped out of the brackets making all sorts of weird things happen. Zip tie them in.
