Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
16 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

This was laying by the pedals when I got in the car. Don't know if it came from that area or the wife and kids tossed it up there. Of course, everyone is denying any knowledge of it.
If anyone can tell me exactly where it goes i would appreciate it. It appears to snap somewhere.
Nope, just under the bolster across the front. It hides the powered seat cables/modules.
If it fell off, it's not going to go back on as that means one or both clips broke. It was like $17 from Pelican when I had to replace it on her's this fall.
There should be two nibs "covered" by the clips. If you twist around enough you'll see where it mounts. I was timid about it (I started a thread about it), but you have to open the clips enough to get the nibs over the metal plate and into their mounting holes.

when I bought the car, one tab was broke off, never bothered with it.

Ok, I think I figured out where it goes. It doesn't look like the tab is broken but I can't get it into place. This is one of the little items I throw in the car the next time it goes to the shop for a repair. I usually have two or three easy little things I can't figure out that they fix in seconds. Thanks for the help
As stated, it's the Seating Position Control Unit Trim Cover, which you can view the diagram of its location in front of the seat
HERE
.
Here you see it installed:
You need to put the piece level like this:
You'll want to tip it down and up in order to get it over and lined up onto the mounts below. The little circle dots need to pop into the holes on those brackets:
You can see them here and can see how one side has a broken bracket:
Let me know if you have any questions.
