The bottom bolts are already adjusted all the way outward so that's as much pressure against the seal as I'm gonna get.

After a bunch of re-learning attempts, fiddling, begging pleading and swearing I finally disconnected the battery for 20 minutes.

What I can try is adjusting both front and rear sides all the way up and then back them down in equal amounts while making sure the window is even.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

After a few years of just living with it, I'm trying to fix the wind noise in my driver's side window. So far I've been unsuccessful.
The noise starts at 45-50 MPH and seems to come from the center to rear half of the top of the driver's side window. I can't hear any noise from the passenger side. No water leaks ever.
I've adjusted the window height 10 full turns of the adjustable stops via the outside holes on the bottom of the door. If I slide a sticky note up the window on the inside of the door, the top of the note hits the seal and stops around 10 mm from the top of the window. The passenger side was about the same, maybe 2 mm lower.
I also adjusted the top of the window inward towards the seal by moving the adjustment bolts at the bottom of the door all the way towards the outside of the door.
I'm still able to remove a piece of 8 1/2" paper from the top of the window when closed. It's harder than it was before but still doable. I'm NOT able to remove it from the pax side. HANDY TIP - Open the other window when shutting the door while holding the paper up lest it gets blown out. Took me a while to figure that one out (heeeere's your sign).
I can also remove a piece of paper from the seal at the rear of both windows that goes vertically from the roof to the door. I'm not sure if this should be possible or not.
Do I need to replace the seal? I'm not sure if there's anything else that can be done. It seems to be high enough, maybe even a bit too high.
Related question - What kind of wind noise do you hear in a coupe at high (80+) speed? I'm noticing that at higher speeds I seem to hear a lot of general "wind around the body" noise that drowns out the noise from the window. I first thought that since this is a sports car with a low drag coefficient I shouldn't hear a lot of wind noise and 120 should sound like 60 in most cars. On the other hand, this isn't a Lexus designed to shield you from all the noises so maybe this is normal.
i have wind noise too. I have also adjusted my window regulators every which way trying to fix it. I was able to greatly improve mine with these adjustments but I still hear a bit of wind noise. Your point about the seal is interesting so i'll be following along.
One tip that might help you and possibly help someone else too is that the adjustment screws on the window regulator greatly affect each other. In other words, if you have the front adjustment screw all the way up, it will cause the front-top of the window to impact the seal prematurely and the rear-top of the window will not full seat into the seal. For this reason, sometimes the answer to lifting one side of the window is actually to
lower
the other side of the window. So, since your noise seems to be coming from the rear, I would try lowering the front screw a couple turns and see if this helps.
I had a similar experience trying in vain to adjust my driver side window. I have almost all the wind noise eliminated now. The trick was to raise the window in the bracket which holds the window. I wasnt able to adjust the window high enough (although, the point about lowering the other end of the window is a great point). So I looses the bolt that clamps the window, raised the window manually a tad and retightened the bolt. I was then able to get the window high enough to eliminate almost all wind noise.
hope this helps
I can try to get some pics later but what would I be looking for? I've seen other threads where the window hits the rear window or doesn't line up with it. Mine doesn't have that problem. I can't see any difference between it and the passenger side which has no issues. It looks straight as far as I can tell.
The first thing I tried was the height adjustment. I kept adjusting it up but could never get it to pass the paper test. What I can try is adjusting both front and rear sides all the way up and then back them down in equal amounts while making sure the window is even. I can compare how far each side is from the door when it's rolled up. The noise seems to be coming from the back so maybe the front is a bit higher.
Another tip - When adjusting the height up and down, I activated the crush protection where the window rolls down around 5" after being rolled up. After a bunch of re-learning attempts, fiddling, begging pleading and swearing I finally disconnected the battery for 20 minutes. Fixed! My theory is that I raised the height and then lowered it a bit. The car thinks the window is too low and assumes there's a finger in there so it activates the crush protection.
My big question is why can't I get it to pass the paper test. The things I've read make me think that it has more to do with the window pressing towards the inside of the car against the seal, rather than the height. I have 10 mm of distance between the point where the window hits the bottom of the seal and the top of the window on the inside of the car. Specs for this are supposed to be 4 mm unless I'm reading something wrong.
If the window glass is properly aligned top to bottom and front to back, that leaves only the pressure between the glass and the seal. The bottom bolts of the window regulator are accessible underneath the door. Pull the plastic plugs, loosen the bolts that allow the window regulator to move in and out relative to the window seal. Outwards means more pressure against the seal, inwards towards the driver/passenger compartment loosens the window to seal pressure. Also, try spraying the window rubber seal with some silicone lubricant.
I did that already. The bottom bolts are already adjusted all the way outward so that's as much pressure against the seal as I'm gonna get. Still won't pass the paper test.
2 plugs at the bottom of the door, remove and use 10mm to loosen the nuts and adjust the window, place sheet of paper between the glass and rear window and adjust till takes some resistance to slide sheet of paper out, tighten bolts and reinstall the plugs. this is for Cabriolet.
