The axle needs to be disconnected from the front differential.
Leading evidence: 'Disconnect from the front differential' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Adjust ride height' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Recently installed Feals on my C4S and I couldnt be happier with the ride.

Also the original Stabilizer Block is gone and been replaced by a cross version, which I’m not sure will work with the Feal coil overs.

Unfortunately(or fortunately for you) the choices have changed a lot since I bought mine.

I would also like to be able to adjust the ride height, which I can do now with the JIC Magic coil overs.

I went from the JIC/Cross which I was very happy with but I got a deal on a set Ohlins R/T both are excellent but the Ohlins are firmer and came with stronger springs
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I would like some advice on coil over shocks. I have a 2004 Porsche 911 (996) C4S Coupe, 6 speed standard,
Black on black (All Leather), Short shift kit, CROSS JIC Magic Coilover System, CROSS Ultra Lightweight Titanium Exhaust System. I find the ride to harsh even on the softest setting. Im more interested in a comfortable ride than driving at the track. I would also like to be able to adjust the ride height, which I can do now with the JIC Magic coil overs. Can you recommend any coil overs? Im presently looking at BC racing BR series coil overs.
Agree with Tex. Recently installed Feals on my C4S and I couldnt be happier with the ride. Ive ruined plenty of my cars with suspension in the past, and Im ecstatic with these. Even received the wifes approval, which is a first in 11 years!

would do it again no the JIC on street driving was better and the drop was lower then the Ohlins
but eventually I wanted to track my Aero and I made a good / right choice
I'm on Ohlins and have been very happy. Whatever coilover you choose I highly recommend one that has height adjustment that is independent of spring preload. This was a very important feature for me. I think both Feal and FortuneAuto have this as well. If they don't the coilover should have a helper spring.
Don't be afraid of coil overs with only an adjustable spring perch. Preload isn't a bad thing if you are setting the ride height within the range specified by the manufacturer. Read this article,
https://www.motortrend.com/how-to/17...-gotten-wrong/
That's a good article. The main reason why you want to be careful with preload is what happens at full droop. If your ride height is low enough and the spring has no preload at full droop the spring can basically come loose while driving. This is why I prefer independent adjustment of both or having a helper spring at the very least to help with this. Also, with lowering using the spring perch, you're effectively shortening the shock travel. I know the shocks are designed to handle this but imho, the more shock travel you have the better.
I ended up buying the Feal coil overs and installing them now. The rears went in with no problems. The fronts I’m having problems getting the old cross coil overs out, the drive shaft won’t let me angle the knuckle far enough to get past the fender, it looks like I’ll have to disconnect it back at the differential. Also the original Stabilizer Block is gone and been replaced by a cross version, which I’m not sure will work with the Feal coil overs. I can’t find a Porsche part number for the block, does anyone know what it is?
Cross stabilizer block
Yes, see what Brude wrote. The axle needs to be disconnected from the front differential.
The factory struts have a tab welded on that the stabilizer drop link bolts to. Coilovers don't have this tab. So you'll need to reuse the JIC Cross mounting or find another. I am surprised that Feal did not include a front stabilizer bar drop link mount with the kit.
Once you get the drop link mount attached make sure that you turn the steering full lock both ways and make sure the drop link does not hit anything. Clearances are tight. You might mark where the split in the JIC Cross mount is and replace it in the same location.
Unfortunately(or fortunately for you) the choices have changed a lot since I bought mine.
Back then the choices were:
Purchase
or
Don't purchase
If it were me, and considering the low prices, I'd purchase every option.
