Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

Id also consider replacing all coolant hoses that are in the back.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

that I've decided to keep. While I'd prefer to go with a bespoke Slakker or FSI lump I must explore the stock Porsche short block option too.
I already plan to replace the AOS, oil cooler, coolant tank, engine and transmission mounts and injectors. (Coil packs and water pump on the currentengine are new.) I'd appreciate your input on what other items related to the engine should be replaced as "while you're in there" parts.
Starter (cheap part). Oil fill tube (cheap part). Clutch and flywheel (meh). That's like just under a grand right there. Worth it IMO. if ur having difficulty getting the trans back on, twist the spline until it slides in. Very satisfying
In addition to above, Id add all sensors (cam, crank, knock, temp, upstream O2, oil level) and vacuum and AOS lines.
Definitely fuel injectors.
Upstream O2 and fuel injectors are most important to replace especially if you have bore scoring.
Id also consider replacing all coolant hoses that are in the back.
Great time to replace y-cable too.
Oh, and test or replace oil cooler.
All depends on what you have replaced up to this point and when. You know the biggies for the engine, IMSB which is addressed with a short block swap, water pump and AOS with the UAOS.
As we had previously discussed, Fischer Motprsports can tell you what else once they look at the service records and condition of your current parts.
Feel free to PM and I will share my entire 10 year refresh list with you over the past 2 years. It's long and preventative. If my engine is any indication of longevity, you will get well over 25-30 years on a swap, given what we know today.
