Im throwing a Honda K24 back there, but was wondering if I could use a 996 trans to retain AWD.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello, Im planning a unique swap into the back of a Honda Acty Street van. Im throwing a Honda K24 back there, but was wondering if I could use a 996 trans to retain AWD. Im aware of the bell housing adaptors for similar swaps into Porsches, but need to know if the configuration will fit in the body work of the van. I was wondering if anyone could point me to the measurement between the rear axle centerline and the edge of the bell housing on a manual 996 AWD transaxle. Picture for attention. Thanks!

POST 2Original post

Are you in NC?? I have that auto box and adapter plate that I removed for my manual swap, I could probably get measurements of the adapter plate thickness and the centerline distance of the trans....add them up for the total you're looking for

No, Im in Colorado. But that would be great! Im just trying to confirm the engine will sit far enough forward to not stick out of the back or the car.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Bumping this to see if anyone could lend a hand. It would be much appreciated
