The instructions don't address this but out of the box, the coilovers are set a fair bit shorter than the struts.

The answer to this question seems obvious to me, but I'd like someone who has installed coilovers to check me. I like my current ride height (H&R springs with Bilsteins). I'm installing Feal 441 coilovers. Before I put them in, it seems like I should adjust the coilovers to roughly the same overall length of my existing struts. It seems like that would get me close to the same height, and I can dial in final height after install with the car's weight. Is this approach correct? The instructions don't address this but out of the box, the coilovers are set a fair bit shorter than the struts. I've reviewed Feal's FAQ and emailed their support, but I'm hoping for some guidance from RL veterans.

If these are standard 441s, they will drop your ride height even if adjusted all the way up. Also keep in mind that they won't compress as much once installed. They are not difficult to adjust once installed, but do require disassembly from the knuckle both front and rear to spin. Before you install though - their "max travel" option may be a better fit if your goal is to stay at current ride height. They are very response and can tell you the options.

Thanks. I suspect they'll get back to me after the holiday weekend. No biggie. The H&R setup I have is a good height for me. It's a little lower than the ROW Porsche spring setup; maybe 3/8-1/2" (eyeballing). I'm hoping to keep it about that same height with fresh dampers and adjustability.

It will be COMPLETELY different. Everything NEW. Start with all adjustments at 50%. You will adjust anyway.
