Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have successfully removed and replaced my broken window Regulator. 2 questions. The first, after reinstalling everything, including the door airbag, I have the airbag light illuminated on my dash. (yes, I did plug it back in.) Is this normal? Do I just need to get it reset? And second, the window seemed to adjust fine, but it won't go all the way down into the door. Is there an adjustment for that? I couldn't find anything about that in my service manual. Thanks in advance for any help!

POST 2Original post

Did you have the key in the ignition when you plugged the airbag in? You'll need to clear the fault .

POST 3Original post

Replacement regulators have two stops. The upper one is for Boxster, you have to remove it to enable the window to travel to the lower 996 stop.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the help! Vancouver, I probably had the key in the ignition. Do I need to use a DME to clear the fault, or is there a way to do this some other way?

POST 5Original post

You need a specialized scanner such as Durametric or iCarsoft PorII

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Ahsai! I could go to my independent mechanic, but after reading what the Durametric can do, I decided to order the Enthusiast model. Seems like a good tool.
