I installed the UAOS system when i bought the car at 97K along w new coils, plugs and leaking tubes .Car has been rock solid w no lights or codes since the day I got it.

Suggestion
They replaced the sensor, and I think that fixed it but car has also had 300 miles since that was done so I'll likely be the one to find out if it didn't.

Good day all. I have a 99 C4 6 speed 106k miles, recently started having a hot start issue where it idles rough and seems to be in limp mode . Will not accerate past 12-1500rpm and the Cruise control light is iluminated when it happens. I turn it off wait 20-30 seconds and restart. everything seems fine. looking for info if anyone has had same issue. I installed the UAOS system when i bought the car at 97K along w new coils, plugs and leaking tubes .Car has been rock solid w no lights or codes since the day I got it. I'm leaning towards TPS heading south, I will also clean up IAC as well. It's always has a bit of warm hard start issue but the limp mode thing is new, worried it will leave me stranded one day.

I just picked up a used 996 and in his service records he had an issue of warm start. Tech found crankshaft sensor was bad. When warm pins 1 and 2 showed as an open circuit and not till cool showed resistance. They replaced the sensor, and I think that fixed it but car has also had 300 miles since that was done so I'll likely be the one to find out if it didn't.
