Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all, Ive owned my 2002 Porsche 996.2 C4 Coupe (3.6) since 2010 a nd Ive recently noticed the rear floor area behind the passenger seat is wet. I suspect the issue may be related to the sunroof drains. When I pour water into the sunroof channel: One side drains very slowly onto the ground The other side doesnt appear to drain at all Has anyone had this issue before, and can confirm: Where exactly the sunroof drains exit The best way to clear them safely (compressed air, strimmer line, etc.) Any tutorials, photos, or diagrams showing the drain routes and exit points Any advice would be much appreciated keen to get this sorted before it causes further issues. Thanks in advance R

POST 2Original post

Most likely thats your problem. You mention that one side drains. Are you able to at least trace the outlet on the side that is still draining? Also, found this upon quick Google search You Tube You Tube You Tube What a beauty youve got there But Im biased

I have a LHD cab but when my rear passenger area flooded it was the AC drain that had backed up. Not sure if those all share the same drains. Good luck!

I've had this occur, but on the driver's side. What I found is that the drains in the battery well get clogged and the water will seep in under the rubber plug on the 'firewall'. It had been installed incorrectly and I reinstalled it with a little sealant and haven't had the issue occur again. But I also regularly clean out the drain lines as well now.
