Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Im looking to change my ashtray area out for something more useful. I see two types of replacement usually sold, which Ive included pictures for. I only have two front buttons for the windows, so no need for the back buttons to be included (what are they usually for?). Does anyone have experience with either type?
The first picture is OEM coin cubby, and the second is an aftermarket piece that I dont know where to find. The switches and blank off covers can be swapped to a new/used insert. Remove the two little plastic screws under your ashtray and it will pop straight up out of the console.
What are the back two switches for in some cars? Im almost tempted to go with the style that eliminates them for more storage space since mine are unused.
I will design and 3d print an option that can be closed with a sliding door/latch. Will post pictures/updates when I'm done. Might offer them for sale too.
First part was ordering a 3d scanner, because the shape is quite some work to model with a caliper and fusion. It should arrive soon and then I'll get going.
Here's one I did for my 924

I have my garage door opener button in one of the rear slots.
It runs to a garage door opener I hacked that's under the center console somewhere.
It's been there since 2017 and I've never replaced the battery.
One of these days I guess I'll have to search for exactly where I stuck it.
I will say if you go the route pictured above, definitely wont recommend going the URO brand part route. The fit is not like OEM, has a weird bulge out on front right edge, and the finish is semi-shiny black ABS. I bought a few to recover because I got them at a good price, but werent worth it IMO. Still have one new in the plastic if you want a cheap option that functions. $ Free shipped.
