Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

It had the bearing replaced in the cam less than a year ago so I assume the motor oil was changed then!
Leading evidence: 'Replace then' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'millers nano and porsche trans fluid probably feel similar' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Check transmission oil soon' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I havent tried it, but I suspect Millers Nano and Porsche trans fluid probably feel similar with smoothness.

Ive not been beneath the car yet but I want to change the motor oil as well as check the transmission oil soon.

Suggestion
Remember, engine oil and trans fluid are the only two things that lubricate your engine and trans, so use the best stuff you can and keep them fresh.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have noticed that going into 2nd gear particularly that I can feel the gear moving. Maybe not clearly descriptive enough but once it actually jumped out of gear because I did not pull it in completely. Is this like a synchronizer issue? The clutch is good.
Could be. Give it a blip of throttle as you have the clutch in before going into 2nd which may help.
GBOX makes a 2nd gear thingy (detante sp?) that you can add which may help. Never added it so I cant explain the procedure, but someone here will be able too.
Also, change your trans fluid as well. Unless you are going to track the car, consider using the Porsche trans fluid.
Beware of Gbox currently. Lots of shady stuff happening with them on g50 rebuilds. The threads r in the 6-turbo forum. This may not effect the purchase/install of a detent but it may sway your decision on where to spend your money.
OP - Is there any oil seepage at the case where selector lever pivots? If the detent doesn’t fix it, your 2nd gear cluster is likely kaput. I recently replaced my transmission for this fault. Fingers crossed for the simpler solution. Any idea how new the 75w90 is?
Im a novice when it comes to Porsche but Im learning. Ive only had this Correra 4 months or so. It had the bearing replaced in the cam less than a year ago so I assume the motor oil was changed then!
Ive not been beneath the car yet but I want to change the motor oil as well as check the transmission oil soon. I dont have a garage to work in so I like fair weather conditions!
the shift is not bad but I am aware that I can feel what is gears moving into place going into 2nd. The detent is mostly to prevent it from popping out?
thanks!
Guys here on RL swear by the Porsche Trans fluid. Yes, 75-90.
Remember, engine oil and trans fluid are the only two things that lubricate your engine and trans, so use the best stuff you can and keep them fresh. No room for short cuts here.
Inadequate lubrication = failure
Two more thing to think about is the shift from 1st to 2nd and from 3rd to 2nd.
The shift from 1st to 2nd needs to be a rhthym shift. One which you dont jam it but instead finesse it. Save the hard acceleration for 2nd to 3rd.
The shift from 3rd to 2nd is an easier shift to do, but you really need to give the throttle a blip and guide it in.
Trans fluid certainly changes the feel. I went from Millers Nano 75/90 which was a very smooth shift, to using Motul 300 75/90 under recomendation from Guard for my LSD. Motul is not as smooth, but it does have its benefits for the LSD on the track. As I mentioned earlier, many of the guys swear by the Porsche trans fluid. I havent tried it, but I suspect Millers Nano and Porsche trans fluid probably feel similar with smoothness.
