Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

We all love to associate the 996 with the GT1, especially the headlights. Until today, I did not know about the 2003 Fabcar Porsche DP until I ran across a picture of it. The headlights caught my attention first. The rear lights look like the lower half of the 996 design unless they just painted the top section white. Car and Driver says it shares the 996 Turbo/GT 2 engine block. POST 2Original post

The DP cars were run in the Grand Am series. They continued to run them after the ALMS merger for a number of years as the IMSA series evolved. Cool cars. I believe they used a form of the Cayenne 8 cylinder engine.
