I hated that I could not activate the Key Fob beyond 5 feet from my 04 C2, thought it was the battery and changed it, no difference. I found a Mod on the Renntech that unsheathed the antennae for the lock down and it increase my Key Fob range to 60 feet, took all of half hour to do the mod. I found my antennae at 130mm, so only had to move it out of the cover. https://www.renntech.org/forums/tuto...662-made-easy/

It's cool to see some of these things bubble up to the surface, fade back into obscurity, and then bubble back up to the top. I've been thinking about doing this for years, but never got a round tuit. Maybe this will be the year.

I did that mod a few years ago and it worked great. My key fob no longer works at all so I plan on doing a re-soldering DIY that I had also seen on Renntech.

Thanks for the reminder about this TSB. It worked great on my '99 and I didn't have to remove the plate for the sun visor either.
