Very OEM plus vs all other manufacturers basically using the same key fob set up that works but does not integrate into the interior in any way.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Has anyone had any experience with these? Talking to Brandon at Slakker about potentially putting these on a build for my engine.

POST 2Original post

If Brandon is considering it, then I'd probably take his recommendation.

POST 3Original post

I've talked to them before as I'm casually eyeing the valved muffler system as a future upgrade. They design and manufacture everything in Poland and it looks to be of very high quality. They just opened up a distribution center in TX I believe. I'm very impressed with how the valves are implemented giving you 3 sound options and best I've seen implementation of the switch. Very OEM plus vs all other manufacturers basically using the same key fob set up that works but does not integrate into the interior in any way. I'd definitely consider giving them a go.

POST 4Original post

From the pictures the build quality looks nice for sure. I was thinking about the 200 cell cats for mine but haven't pulled the trigger because it's a 6 week lead-time.

POST 5Original post

I saw that @freddworks got their catted x-pipe, although doesn't look to be installed yet but might be able to provide some initial thoughts.

POST 7Original post

I'll be fitting it this weekend, initial thoughts, looks really good. Quality welds and so on I will be updating my thread with sounds clips and some pictures of the install. Unfortunately it's still winter over here so no driving yet... Let me know if you want some detailed pictures before its fitted

I got one for almost a year and cant say anything except its awesome. Really. The sound it starts with an open throttle, the gentle sound in 1st mode, awesome roar on 2nd and total wildness on sport+ mode. Its all music to my ears 🙂❤️

POST 10Original post

hello. I have had this brand of exhaust system for two years. Last year I also decided to install an x-pipe from them. I am delighted with the workmanship/quality and sound. The ideal option is three types of sound. The first is better than the original, quieter but with a nice rasp. The second sounds purebred, typically sporty. The third is a symphony for the ears track settings. I have the impression that the car is more powerful, reacts better to gas, is faster. What is super important, it does not buzz in the cabin! I highly recommend it

Hello @Viper1000 , this is Phillip from Wasptech USA. Do you have a 996 or 997, what trim? asking because we do have some at our warehouse that would could ship right away. Shoot me a text at [phone removed]/ One small but important detail I would like to add for those considering our valved exhaust systems is that we use the latest superseded OEM Porsche vacuum solenoids for the valving system. This ensures longevity and consistency, which is something most other systems lack.

POST 12Original post

Quotes source post: 19900638

Hi.I have been using the exhaust from Wasptech for a year. The quality is very good. In silent mode, you can easily do long routes and I have the impression that it is quieter than the factory one. In sport mode, it is aggressive and sporty but there is no rumble at low speeds, I use this mode most often. The third mode is for fun for a while, or to wake up the entire valley while driving on a mountain road. I have one of the first units produced for 997.1. As far as I know, they have improved something else now, so you don't have to worry about the quality.

POST 13Original post

3 brand new posters all joining and posting within a couple of days of each other, all having the same exhaust for the same timeframe, all with essentially the same feedback. Not doubting the quality of the exhaust, but a little sketchy on the postings to say the least.

If you're on Instagram here is feedback that a customer from Midland, Texas posted just 5 weeks ago. Link to Instagram post, user call_me_q_996 "When I got the 911 it had some issues with the exhaust and was going to need to be replaced. After lots of research, I decided to get an active system from https://www.instagram.com/_wasptech_/ making this the first system in Texas. I absolutely love the product and it’s been a blast getting to drive it. Always getting compliments on the sound wherever I go! " . So maybe it's just that everyone has similar great feedback about WaspTech exhausts. Also, since WaspTech is a Polish company and started there over a year ago it makes sense that the other 3 posters are probably from Poland and have owned their systems about the same time frame. Check out the WaspTech social media pages Instagram and Facebook for more videos of their systems.

I am just satisfied customer recommending their products. There was an ask for the opinion, I got some experience which wanted to share. If you want, go to my instagram account @watercooledcarrera. You can find there a post from August 2024 after the exhaust was installed (with audio sample). Also, in Novembers post you can hear how this exhaust sounds on Alpine roads in Switzerland. I (unfortunately &#129315 dont make a dime for these recommendations. This exhaust is basically awesome, really. And whats more - theyre Polish! All best, Chris✌🏻

Sometimes I read something on renlist and somehow I didn't feel the need to comment. Now I wrote because the question concerned a product that I have, and there is not much of it on the market. I know the guy from WaspTech personally, of course, we met at Porsche meetings. They do good work but I don't sell their exhausts, I just think it works great.

POST 19Original post

@Szyna Thanks for replying. Do you happen to have any other social media that might show your exhaust or Porsche with the Wasptech system? maybe instagram? I think this would help people know you're a real person. Thanks!

POST 21Original post

Started fitting it last week, been away for work this so no real progress. Tbh, I've never fitted an exhaust on a porsche before, but lined up and everything is currently bolted in loosely. So far so good I guess, I'll be back home tomorrow so I can finish and eventually start it Let me know what kind of pictures you want

I just installed the WaspTech exhaust on my 2001 996 C4. Terrific system, excellent quality and I enjoy the ease of transitioning from a moderate to aggressive sport sound with the three settings. I would highly recommend this system to anyone. Feel free to reach out with any questions.

POST 24Original post

I also have a WaspTech x-pipe with 200cel cats and stock mufflers on my 2003 C2. Excellent build quality and fitment. Sounds great, especially above 3k rpm. I also had great customer service and follow up from Sebastian and Philip. Would definitely recommend. I have a few photos and a short video of my install here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/DiysVnMSfZQ6C2r38 One small nitpicky complaint I had was that the upstream O2 sensor placement makes it hard to access the engine subframe mounting bolts after installation of the X-pipe unless you remove the upstream O2 sensors. I mentioned this to Sebastian and I believe they have since revised/updated the bung placement. -Lenny

POST 25Original post

Anyone happen to get a weight comparison to their OEM cat pipes?

POST 26Original post

Quotes source post: 19978089

I did not, but I just weighed my old cats - 25.2lbs (including upstream o2 sensors, which have welded themselves into place lol).

POST 27Original post

Quotes source post: 19981762

Good info. The aftermarket stuff must be real light. The way everyone talks I assumed the stock units were ~20lb a piece.

POST 28Original post

Are these guys out of business already? There's no way to buy or contact anyone from their site, best I can tell. And the Instagram account no longer exists.

POST 29Original post

They're still around - company changed hands and is now InFerro. I just spoke Sebastian, the previous owner. He said the email [email removed] is still operational and the best way to reach them currently.
