Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Ended up replacing both bank 2 that had heater issues.

Keep a scan tool with you and check for codes when the CEL illuminates.

To confirm , you will need to trace the wiring to the correct Sensor/location....OR disconnect a Sensor and wait for the code to pop up to see if the correct code poped for the Sensor that you unplugged...

I had the crossover pipes off to replace a water pump and then also pulled the trans due to an issue with a used flywheel.

I have seen people install cross-over pipes and accidentally switch the wiring for the 02 sensors...( the wiring is long enough on some cars to reach the wrong position)....This does NOT cause an 02 Sensor code ( or any code) but the car will absolutely run like trash after a few minutes...

Recently I've started getting a check engine light, but using durametric or foxwell to look there are no codes other the tip can vus timeout after the swap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have changed to 200 cel cats and am wondering g if that could be the issue. I'm thinking about changing to a row tune, but until then does anyone have any ideas how to capture these codes? Its kind of embarrassing to jump in with an instructor at hpde only.to ha e the car look like it's not reliable.
Sounds pretty straight forward to me.....you did a Tip to 6 speed swap but have not reprogrammed the DME for 6 speed....The DME is looking for info from the TIP ECU and when it finally gives up, it pops the CEL ...
You will need to get a PIWIS and get your IPAS codes and re-program for 6 speed.......or take it to you Local Friendly Porsche Center ...
It will depend on the year model......the earlier cars have a much smaller CAN Network than the later cars....
When the CEL pops up, there will be a code...What is this code ?? If the code is for CAN Network then that is your issue...
It's an 03, and the problem is i immediately check with a foxwell. Ive been driving the car for 6 months since the trans swap and this didn't happen before. I had the crossover pipes off to replace a water pump and then also pulled the trans due to an issue with a used flywheel. Now all of a sudden I'm getting g this weird behavior. I'll get my piwis out and see if I can dig deeper.
And, BTW, i do already have my iPas codes. Just been waiting g u t I didn't have any planned events to try and shoot a manual program I to the ecu.

Already did that. Ended up replacing both bank 2 that had heater issues. Probably going to just buy 2 new bosch sensors and see if that clears the problem.
