Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: 'mistake' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'mistake' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Check size/condition of the tires carefully as new rubber' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi all, I'm new to Porsche and to Rennlist, although I hope to become active very soon. I'm looking to buy my first Porsche and found one near home with a clean CarFax that has piqued my interest.
This will not be my daily driver, I've posted two pictures below and there are a lot of pictures on the dealers website:

I'd appreciate any and all advice on whether this looks like a solid car, being offered at a fair price.
And if are there any known issues with this particular year and model that I should be aware of, please let me know.
Thank you in advance for any help and advice you can offer.
Cheers,
Larry
Looks pretty good for a 2004 Cab. Pricing seems a bit high. Make darn sure the convertible top works. Cycle it a couple of times to make sure. Cab tops and components are expensive and sometimes difficult to diagnose/replace. Did you test drive the car yet?
No mention of maintenance or records. Note the aftermarket exhaust; always makes me wonder what other modifications there are. Those 19" wheels were probably a mistake. There are very few 19 inch tire sizes that will fit under the fenders that won't eventually damage the AWD system. Check the size/condition of the tires carefully as new rubber for these cars is expensive.
Make sure to get a PPI from an independent Porsche specialist before you fall in love with it. Find someone that will drop the oil pan and scope the bores. Don't be shy of spending at least a few hundred dollars on a PPI or you are rolling the dice.
For me personally, that car looks really good. Price is OK, BBS wheels show they did not penny pinch on the upgrades. As many others have mentioned, maintenance is the key. A rock solid PPI is a necessity. Join us!
