The easy way out is to buy a complete kit and use my existing rotors as spares but I tend to end up following the road less travelled...

I just stumbled upon a pair of new PFC brake discs for 996 C2/C4 and I hope some of you knowledgeable people will be able to shed some light on this issue. Thing is, these are just the rotors (P/N 318.28.0061.87/88) without the hats so now I need to find the matching hats. As far as I can see PFC don't sell these alone but only in combination with the rotors. So, I'm trying to find a set of used hats to go with the rotors. I haven't been able to figure out what P/N the hats are for 996C2/C4, is thare someone here who has these and could check for me? I've found a number of hats which could be compatible: 237.103.029.01 (listed as suitable for 996/997 GT3/RS, "race discs") 237.103.030.01 (no spec available) I'm guessing that - as long as stud holes etc are correct - fitment depends on style of attachment (i.e. Direct Drive V1 and V2 for PFC) and offset. The easy way out is to buy a complete kit and use my existing rotors as spares but I tend to end up following the road less travelled...

Spending some time with the Power Stop guys today. They appear to be pretty legit. I have a pair of their rotors off amazon that were really cheap but I was scared to install. I'll have to give them a shot next time around.

Were you able to find the answer to your question i96danma? I work very closely with members from PFC and should be able to get you an answer on Monday. (I apologize I did not see this thread sooner!)
