Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I posted this on another forum, so excuse me for posting two times. I would like to have the padding on my seats replaced. The leather is good but the drivers seat seems "worn". What I mean is that my butt sinks into the seat. I can live with it the way it is but I would be more comfortable with a newer firmer seat. Has anyone had this done and anyone know where on Long Island I could get this done at a reasonable price? Thanks for the help.

POST 2Original post

You can do this yourself it's not that hard. I just replaced the seat bottom foam in a 2002 seat with full power. Must be several places to choose from on Long Island. It's not a difficult task just takes time, most Porsche indy places will do it for 3-4 hours labor plus part. Three hours labor is completely reasonable so don't expect to pay less than that. Total cost would be $467 - 567.

POST 3Original post

Heated seats replacement foam is ~$135 from sunset Porsche. The seat cover pretty much unhooks from the seat frame. See this thread for pics etc. https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...rs-seat-2.html

POST 4Original post

There is a woven strap under the seat bottom that breaks. This needs fixed.... I removed the seat and dropped it at the upholster shop. cost 100.00 so nice now
