The only way to clear it is to replace the worn pad sensor or fix the wiring.

The break wear light isn't reset with durametric or piwis.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I installed new Brembo "Low Dust" front brake pads in 04' C4S. I got an ABS/Brake warning light. OK, went back and everything seems normal. I actually replaced wheel carriers, LCA, Angle LCAs, and CV-Axles. While not exactly "fun", that was all mechanical stuff. New brake-pad sensors, and so on.
Connected Durametric. BAD. While I install Durametric on "old-dead" computer, it was on sperate HD. Go back upstairs to WIFI, reinstall D on new laptop. OK, go back in garage, connect, everything "Green", D starts OK. D finds car, all OK. I looked at left-side menu, couldn't find anything that said "brake Wear" light. I went through a lot of menus, and erased (deleted?) warning messages - there weren't any, but Erase anyway. Where do I find "Brake Wear" light warning deal?
On another note, where is/are cam deviations in D? Any hints on what to look for as a standard "Look Here Every Now And Then" for engine/car clues?
BTW, the "seat belt locked" thing was a 3 hour fight. I could unbolt the upper part in B-pillar, but the whole plastic gizmo piece came apart, no idea where the copper spring went, etc. I couldn't move seat to get at bottom bolt, finally got it. Putting the plastic top piece together was a total PITA. Read on RL, got pics, but "lost" one top plastic piece somewhere in car. Screw it, gave up. The seat belt now moves/in/out like it is supposed to. Maybe find the part or just order GT3 plastic part and call it good. Thanks De Jeeper for hints.
YMMV
Are you getting the brake wear indicator on the instrument cluster?
If so one of the wear sensors or one of the wires is bad.
The break wear light isn't reset with durametric or piwis. The only way to clear it is to replace the worn pad sensor or fix the wiring.
Thanks for your reply theprf. Yes, red light on instrument cluster.
I replaced all of the brake sensors with new ones from Pelican. I looked at connections, all "seem" to be good. With "nannies", WTF knows?
The only thing I think is "strange" is that the new Brembo pads have red-painter metal thin plate clamped to them. They don't interfere with the sensors, but who knows? I also put in new "back plates" with the round rod-looking parts, don't know what they are called..
I'll check everything again, and test tomorrow. Cold 39F-50F, clouds, big wind, hail today. No letting the C4S out today...
Cut off the old brake pad sensor indicator plugs with 6" of wire left. Twist together the wire ends. Plug in 1 at a time at all corners and see when the light goes off to isolate your problem..
Damn. That sounds like a lot of fun. Hopefully you find what you need and get it all back together before you give up and buy new parts. Of course once you buy the new parts, you will find the little metal spring. I usually take pleasure in someone elses misery happy its not mine, but that just sounds straight up frustrating.
hears to sunny skies and no brake lights.
Unlike the PCA install new front brake pads video that cuts the brake pad sensor wire off, I removed it in 1 piece. Lucky me. I got old ABS sensor and cut off brake pad sensor on my used wheel carriers. So I could easily use the old cut part to twist wires and test the new one from Pelican.
Great! The twisted wires cancelled the Brake Wear light. OK, run the old undamaged pad sensor wires and it ALSO cancels the Brake Wear light. Connect the new one from Pelican and Brake Wear is back. OEM Brake Pad Wear thing, brand-new, is junk, does not work. I have yet to do the rear pads, so I'll see if any of the other new wear things are DOA. They don't cost much, ~$4.50, so I'll wait to send any back to Pelican. (or if ever...)
No error lights so problem solved. I "saved" the twisted wire connex in a ziplock as a useful tool. Thanks
