Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Suggestion

Like dproto said, it should hose off fairly easily and be pretty easy to clean off.

Coatings do provide protection and make cleaning significantly easier but they're not a magic shield and also require some upkeep.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Got to say not impressed (even though we had 45mph winds all day yesterday and I live in a desert)! The whole point was to repel dirt and water

POST 2Original post

Do you live in Las Vegas? Because it rains mud out here......

POST 5Original post

Unfortunately, the only real way to repel dirt/water is a true ceramic coat, a spray on wax with graphene will not suffice. Gtechniq makes the best bang for buck product, reference here: here For spray on wax, my local Porsche group recommends Lucas Slickmist, and it's what I've currently switched to with good results.

POST 6Original post

I'm going to give the Lucas Slickmist a shot! Seems it has good reviews and for $16 shipped/delivered tomorrow, why not!

POST 7Original post

It should hose off fairly easily/quickly no? If not, it would seem you fell pray to marketing hype buyer beware!

POST 8Original post

A bit of a misunderstanding when it comes to coatings and coating-like sprays. They don't have some magic property to repel dirt so it bounces off and your car stays clean. They do leave behind a high tension surface coating (it's what causes water to bead up) that helps the dirt not to stick as much and embed itself in the paint. Like dproto said, it should hose off fairly easily and be pretty easy to clean off. Coatings do provide protection and make cleaning significantly easier but they're not a magic shield and also require some upkeep. The whole "never wash your car again" marketing hype is total BS.
