Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
If it were me, I'd look on eBay for some good condition mufflers then send them to Fister for the $625 mod and any repair/coating they might need..

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

This has probably been discussed before but i could not find any recent post when i did a search, so here goes:

So what is my best option for an aftermarket sport exhaust with much sound? And preferably not to expencive.
I would recommend the FVD Bombracher Sport Sound
https://www.fvd.net/us-en/BES9960500...ort-sound.html
Sporty sound with an "air cooled" note. Very subtle in low revs or with low gas load, and gets noticeable in mid and high range or under load. No drone.
Besides, the look is stock, which for me was a plus.
If you want a lot of sound and not too expensive you can try the 996 muffler bypass kit on Amazon for the very affordable price of $139.99. I ordered one last week and just looking at it so far it seems very well made, certainly a lot more reasonable than the Fabspeed muffler bypass for $799.
Below is an older link with various sound clips of different systems. I went with Billy Boat mufflers and am very happy with the sound. Nothing crazy but certainly way better than stock.

Well, got a FabSpeed full exhaust on my 996.2 and it is loud, way to loud for me. But at full tilt it does make mean flat six music that all can hear for many blocks. around me.
Also have a like new muffler bypass kit, used it for 3 days, painfully extreme loud, track use only imo. For sale for $100 and shipping.
The other options for just mufflers are expensive imo, but if thats what ya want... fvd are $3k or more when all is said and done. Billy Bobs are $2k. Most other name exhausts fall somewhere in between.
IMO, all the ones I've heard are much louder than oem.
For my 996.1 with a rattling muffler on 1 side, got a almost new looking eBay 1 for $150. it came from a dismantler yard.
If it were me, I'd look on eBay for some good condition mufflers then send them to Fister for the $625 mod and any repair/coating they might need.. A ton less cash with a more sporty roar than oem but with oem fit and finish.
The titanium ceramic coating looks sweet...
I have Dansk Supersound with a catless X-Pipe on an X51 and it sounds amazing. Very air-cooled raw sounding. No drone at all and not even that loud until you hammer it.
