Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Have you recently cleaned the airbox & re-oiled the filter..?
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

As soon as you replace it, reset the ECU/DME by disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes That resets to default values, and then after a couple of drives it re-learns the settings.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have a 2000 911 996
I needed a new mass airflow sensor. I ordered a BRemi from pelican, replaced. It ran perfect. 10 miles Brought it home. Turned it off the next morning after it got cold accelerator started hesitating ABS light on dash along with electronic control light no check engine car ran terrible kept going dead. Ordered another mass airflow sensor same make BRemi installed it exact same thing happened again ran perfect. Parked it next day dash lights ran light crap goes dead. Any ideas or do you think the Bosch will eliminate the problem?
I had no issues at all when I replaced mine with a Bosch. Reputable ebay sellers have new authentic Bosch units at a much lower price than the .major online sellers for whatever reason.
Its a very important part that is inexpensive. I would go with the real deal Bosch from a reputable distributor so you know its not a knockoff that doesnt work.
What was it doing before you replaced the MAF? or why did you replace the MAF?
What codes are you getting now when it goes bad?
Other than using a Bosch(mine was replaced with a Bosch), you might try resetting the adaptive learning stored in the DME. Disconnect the battery for 10 minutes or so. If the old learned value is too far away from target with the new MAF, it will throw some code.
Ya, something else is wrong. Getting 3 MAF sensors that go bad in 10 miles, no matter the brand, is more than unlikely.
Have you recently cleaned the airbox & re-oiled the filter..? hows maf wires/plug/connector look, are all pins fully seated..?
Re-oiled the filter? Maybe that is the problem because the stock air filter is just paper. The MAF sensor is the one component you don't want to mess with. The ECU/DME relies on the MAF sensor for all sorts of engine management settings. Get a new Bosch MAF sensor from a reputable source. As soon as you replace it, reset the ECU/DME by disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes That resets to default values, and then after a couple of drives it re-learns the settings. And yes, the MAF sensor can cause the ABS error.
You'd be surprised the nonsensical dashboard display I got the last time I didn't plug my MAF connector properly. and other instances Where the ABS Light popped on for completely unrelated things.
OP, my guess here would in fact be a problem with the Connector. I'm about to replace mine Which is all buggered.
It is my opinion and my practice that when it comes to MAF sensor, the factory one is the only one that you should buy. Yes, I know how expensive it is.
