Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Instead of using force and climbing all over the car and risking injury, we used science to make removing it very easy.
Leading evidence: 'Use science' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace plugs and ignition parts' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

We learned about the fister exhaust mod and decided it was a good time to handle it while planning to change the plugs and ignition parts.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi, my wife, 2-year-old car-obsessed son, and I just got our new to us Porsche delivered to Southern California from North Carolina, where we bought it. We are super excited to have found one in white, and it has this nice dark blue interior.
In NC before going on the transporter
It's overall the car is really clean, but it needs a few small maintenance items handled, so we took it apart right away to go through everything we want to do all at once over the holidays. It will be an OEM Plus style.
We're doing a little bit of everything, window regulator, fluids and filters, some mechanical odds and ends, and all the usual cosmetic stuff like paint correction, tint carpay, etc..
I'm looking forward to learning more and sharing any helpful information I can along the way. We're also looking forward to finding more automotive events we can check out as a family.
Gorgeous, white with those wheels is perfection and not commonly seen. Sounds like you're off to the races tackling the to-do list already.
I hope though it stays tint-free, it's by far the best look 😁
Nice! Welcome to the group! I totally agree, White is the best. I bought my White 6mt cab in 2018 and it makes me smile every day! Looks like you are pretty comfortable around cars if you've already taken body panels off. I'm looking forward the story as it unfolds.
Thank you! For the sake of our son and reducing the risk of skin cancer I'll be personally tinting it
It won't be dark so it should be a nice subtle touch to make the white pop, block all the UV, and contain the glass in the event of an accident.
I wasn't sure where this could be posted to help other people. Our shift **** was stuck on. I read on here and elsewhere to place the trans in 2nd, twist and pull up, and be careful not to hit yourself, but it would not move.
Instead of using force and climbing all over the car and risking injury, we used science to make removing it very easy. So here is a method to remove the shift **** on a 996 when it is really stuck on there with leverage.
Place clamps against the shifter housing, but resting on the transmission tunnel
Add a block for height
Use leverage
Voila
Mounting the shifter housing to a 2x6 afterwards made me realize this process could be done out of the car too.

Little helper on hand now the cutting and grinding is done.
