Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

16 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello, I would like to replace my steering wheel on my Millennium Edition with a new one, where can I find the part number for it? Thank you

POST 2Original post

Part number will depend if its Tiptronic or not, and I dont know what it is but I feel your pain, mine is cracked up pretty bad and pieces are now starting to break off. But Ive decided to go outlaw style and Im replacing mine with the MOMO Heritage Indy. Im going to replace the black horn button with the Tobacco Brown Leather button to tie it into the interior a little better. Momo Heritage Indy MOMO brown horn button I seriously contemplated this one below, but I couldnt find it available in the states, even through MOMO, and ultimately decided to keep the wood MOMO Heritage Prototipo Tobacco

POST 3Original post

Its going to be astronomical, like $4k. Just google craft customs, cost you like $600, like new.

That looks pretty good, ... yeah deciding what to do. It's though because I would like to keep the original steering wheel style. Thanks for your reply... would love to see the steering wheel installed that you're planning on ^

I reached out to them, thank you ... they are in Dallas so that's pretty easy for me! Thanks

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

They seem to have it in stock @ studawg , might be worth looking at it : https://www.design91.uk/p/steering-w...xoC8DMQAvD_BwE

POST 7Original post

I dont get why anyone would want to put that steering wheel in a pcar, but thats just me.

POST 8Original post

The Prototipo has been a pretty popular wheel in 911s over the years and the Indy is just a wood version of it. My interior is Natural Brown and wood, so....seems like an obvious choice to me if you want a Momo

POST 9Original post

Quotes source post: 20374800

Yeah I found that one but didnt know what the actual cost would end up being and ultimately decided I wanted to keep the wood, Ive got the wheel, button and eccentric ring, just waiting on the NRG hub to arrive so I can put it in

POST 10Original post

Quotes source post: 20375251

Thats kind of an odd comment, there are literally thousands of 911s with Momo steering wheels, just google it

POST 11Original post

Dont pay him any mind, hes probably never seen a Porsche before.

I think they look stupid, thats my opinion - especially compared to the option of restoring the factory millennium wheel. You gave an off topic opinion that was well received, I gave mine. Moving on.

Yeah those $1M+ Singers look real stupid lol. I daily my 911 so sending my steering wheel off is not an option for me.

Tariffs on automotive parts from Europe to US is currently 30%

POST 16Original post

Quotes source post: 20381282

Thats incorrect. The tariff on parts from Europe is 15%. It was 2.5%, so it went up by 12.5%. But a tariff is applied at the wholesale level, not retail. So the US based importer pays that 12.5% increase. Its then sold to a retailer , who sells it to the customer. Even if the importer passes their entire cost increase on to their buyers, by the time it gets to the consumer, the justified price increase is much less than 12.5% of what the customer is paying, its more like 5%.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
