Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I use the graphite paint and filler from the Leather Colour Doctor

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Looking to refurb the very chipped graphite grey center console in my 996, w/ full leather interior. I ended up ordering ColorBonds LVP #1130 graphite grey interior trim paint after seeing some amazing results from others.
Upon spraying one piece of the console as a test, the color looks much much darker than the factory color
. I've been in contact with colorbond to try and find the graphite grey that would match, just like the results on

gentleman's fantastic results. So far they haven't been much help.
Has anyone had any experience with Colorbond #1130? Is there a better colorcode to order? Has anyone found a 3M vinyl wrap that replicates the original look if I have to go that way? Were there multiple versions of graphite grey over 996 production?
I've seen a lot of folks respray the console with a body match color, which I believe looks pretty tacky so I'm hoping to avoid that and keep the stock look/feel.
Attached are photos of my interior and the dark match with the colorbond paint.
Under-hood sticker reads Interior: L92M CE
Any advice is greatly appreciated, hoping to knock out this interior stuff while I'm waiting for the block to get back from LN Engineering!!
Fwiw, I have owned a seal grey/graphite grey 996.2 for 23 years. For 21 years I wrestled with what to do with the center console. Regardless of how careful any of us may be, the rubbery paint just scrapes off. Any touchup or repainting would look like he'll and be a waste of money without striping the paint completely off the center console. But then you have the same issues of the rubbery paint scraping off.
So then I was down to either stripping and repainting the center console seal grey with exterior car paint and clear coat or getting a carbon fiber center console. I went with painting it seal grey. Glad I did. But in my case, a seal grey center console on a graphite grey interior is just as bland as graphite grey on graphite grey. So I added black and carbon bits. It worked.
Good luck with figuring out what works for you.
It was sheer luck. Back in 2008, a fellow PCA member also had a 996 and had ordered directly from Recarro the seats in graphite grey. He used them for a couple of months and decided to sell the car and put back in his factory seats and buy a racecar and gave me a call. Lucky as hell.
