If working with the vendor has not yielded results - and I mean actually working with them to resolve the issue - start using all of the resources available to publicize the issue to see if that produces results.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. I had the worst experience in my life dealing with wicked motor.i bought a 996tt upgrade to 997tt ,after one year of delay, I received the kit with damaged hood, missing head lights, while TNT CONFIRMED that its the same weight they picked up from wicked motor.
any one here can recommend a lawyer in the LA area for a anti fraud law claims ?
I do not believe you will find any attorneys in California specializing in "anti fraud law claims."
Was the hood damaged in transit - i.e. was the packing material damaged as well, or was the box in perfect shape upon arrival? If the former, you should be pursuing the damage claim with the shipper. If the latter, you need to calculate the damages you have suffered.
If the dollar amount falls within the small claims limits in your area, small claims is the affordable way to proceed. If you hire a lawyer, you are going to spend more on legal fees than you recover. You are not going to find a contingency attorney willing to work on a case with a very small payout.
If working with the vendor has not yielded results - and I mean actually working with them to resolve the issue - start using all of the resources available to publicize the issue to see if that produces results. Filing a BBB claim, for example, may yield results - but only with a vendor who has a good BBB rating. If you're working with a vendor who doesn't care what people think, obviously this won't be helpful.
Posting (non-libelous) complaints on their social media (Facebook, Twitter, whatever) may also net results, as no business wants unanswered complaints hanging out on their social media presence.
As an aside...if the worst experience of your life has been enduring the difficulty of upgrading your 996TT to a 997TT, you have led an awesome life - so congratulations on that.
Well that sucks and I agree with the small claims route.
Did you not do a generic search for Wicked Motors? There are tons of negative reviews online about them.
thanx 5CHN3LL, for the advice, however u did not mentioned that they did not ship the head lights (2000-3000 $) .they had me waiting for more than one year( equal car rental cost daily coast x # of days ).
that's what am going to claim.
I wanna teach them a lesson to stop defrauding people ?
You cannot claim fictitious expenses in a court case. Well, you CAN, but you're going to **** off a judge.
You had a working car and wanted to upgrade it, right? How precisely does that entitle you to a years' worth of car rentals?
You may think you're going to teach Wicked a lesson, but the odds are that - if this made it to trial - the judge will tear you a new one and dismiss the case. Don't make stuff up. Those guys in the black robes get irritated when people trump up damages, and they also get pissy when their time is wasted.
I hope you get your stuff and can finish your car, but people who sue other people "to teach them a lesson" are often as not the ones who wind up getting schooled...
the car had sustained a frontal accident and was dismantled in an auto body shop ready to take in the upgrade kit. The work shop charges daily charges on cars that set in there work shop occupying space , waiting for parts that supposed to be brought by the owner .
I hope now ,you tell me that I will win ??
Likely, but if he's looking for a warm fuzzy feeling, this isn't the place for it. Good luck on your endeavors, but you're best to move on. Keep passing the word on via social media and leave it at that.
Part time lawyer here. So let's go back to the beginning. I would try contract law. You paid them x and did not receive it. The question is did they ship it? as schnell said, the hood damage is on the shipper. Not shipping headlights for 2-3k is a whole different story. Small claims I think where I live is $2500. File a suit for that and they will have to show up to court with proof they shipped it. If they don't show you win. The time thing is a whole different animal and you could get a lawyer and go for actual damages, but the cost of the lawyer would eat any money you get.
*sigh* It doesn't mean that the law is on the bad guy's side.
You're getting worked up because people are telling you it's not a good idea to trump up a bunch of bogus expenses to try to "stick it" to the seller. Exacting your revenge by trying to extract lots of money from the seller isn't any less crooked than getting a parts order that is damaged and missing items.
Consumer law is almost always "on the side" of the consumer. However, you've posted your goal to stick it to the seller to teach them a lesson. That's not how the legal system is supposed to function. Unless you feel that the seller has INTENTIONALLY defrauded you, work with the vendor to get satisfaction and, failing that, take them to court.
As a consumer, you teach lessons to sellers by taking your business elsewhere and letting them (and other people, by way of the BBB, Yelp, etc.) know why.
Yup.
As much as it pains me to say this, there are some really crooked attorneys out there who will take a losing case because they know they'll still get paid. I like to imagine that the vast majority of attorneys are just like Atticus Finch, but in reality...
I have known a few people over the years who have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars fighting a case they knew would probably end in an out-of-court settlement because they have the money and were willing to spend it to prove a point. Unless you're one of these folks who have money to burn just to be right, you need to find a way to make this tolerable and move on.
Look Bro, I think you should at least try harder to resolve this with the seller. I mean are they in total denial there is a problem or what? Like Imre posted earlier dude. There has to be more to this story, bruh.
This guy was either more than patient or just procrastinating himself over the course of a year. I really hope you're not serious on trying to resolve the issue harder with the seller which has been going on over the course of a year.
I'm kind of curious about the information that isn't included in this thread, like what steps have been taken to try to resolve the issue, any photos of the damage, any indication by Wicked that the lights were in the box.
The only "facts" presented so far are that OP didn't get headlights, the hood was damaged, and he wants to sue Wicked. A little more information would help folks provide OP with advice - unless OP doesn't want advice and is just venting...
That's what I'm wondering.
I live around the corner of Wicked Motorsports. But due to everything I've read online, I have never taken my car there (I do 95% of work myself anyways).
I always see GTRs and R8s in front.
But they seem to have many complaints online, and they never answer their phones or respond to my emails when I've had a question.
anyone who sits around for a year waiting for a simple upgrade kit to arrive isn't playing with a full deck - you need ***** when your dealing with a company that doesn't give a sh_t and doesn't produce.
phone calls don't do squat - if the story is true, bring all the damaged goods (with a certified letter from the auto body shop explaining headlights were missing)directly to their shop and raise hell - don't stop until they take care of you
I'm assuming you probably paid for this kit with a credit card when you ordered it? Another option would be to call your credit card company and tell them what happened. Many credit cards include buyer protection. They may be able to refund your money and go after the seller of the kit for you. I know the card I use advertises buyer protection. Just a thought.
Some CC has time limitation on the buyer protection or disputes.
Haven't heard back from OP which is a bit strange. I wonder if he treated his business transaction like this thread. I understand not everyone checks these things on a daily basis but if it was me asking for advice on a matter like this, I'd would be tuning in regularly.
My guess is some of y'all scared him away in traditional RL fashion and he maybe the type to get wounded easily and/or try to avoid confrontation hence maybe the reason why he's in this situation in the first place.
As usual I maybe talking out of my azz and I could be totally wrong but just offering my weak $.02 in RL fashion.
I'm a lawyer, but I won't help you. I specialize in using the consumer protection laws as they were intended, to protect the scammers. The first part of the scam is calling them consumer protection laws. Our little joke.
To all: this is the most inane stupid thread to date. I did my best to NOT contribute to this idiocy. The OP checked out days ago. Who among us is dumb enough to have their car languish in a body shop racking up daily charges for a year, makeup erroneous claims, do no follow-up, and then whine/demand that he is owed something for doing nothing? There is no law that covers stupid.
In all fairness, here we have a dramatic thread title, written in caps, incomplete, by a user with 2 posts. Virtually no useful information was written that would enable anyone to help. People get tired of the obvious merchant smear campaigns. And if you ever happen to have a small business named Wicked Motors (and there are a few out there) this thread title will come up in the google search.
His writing/actions/behaviour might suggest he might be an fob Asian dude. Just a guess. They generally don't do well in forums and with handling issues in the states as there are certain cultural differences. I could be totally off base but all the attributes you pointed out seems to fit this case.
Hello, I purchased the upgrade kit with 4 weeks promised date of delivery's. I wrote them more than 200 e-mails, I called them a thousand times and they only answer new customers call, because I tried to call them from different number ,they answered.my car had frontal accident and I paid them 8500$ for the kit.I had to wait for the parts to arrive, but when it arrived the head lights was not shipped. the TNT CARRIERS, indicate that the weights they picked is the same that was delivered. Its simply put a very clear fraudulent company and every one should be aware.
thnx
Indeed. TNT Carriers uses only the finest Mettler Toledo micro-balances to weigh its loads, pre- and post- delivery. They track shipment weights within one nanogram.
If someone so much as wipes dust of off an item whilst in transit, you will know it. So, clearly there is fraud involved.
My beef with Wicked? I took the car in for an oil change, and look what they did to it!
I've tried to resolve it, but since I can only get in one call per telephone number, I've run out of friends and family whose phones I can use for one call each.
.
this what I found in speed website :
Hi all,
This is another horrible experience with Wicked Motor Works' 991 GT3 style bumper kit. I first ordered the kit in December 2013, and was told by Beau that they already have the mold, and it would take about 6~8 weeks for them to produce the front bumper, the rear bumper and the rear spoiler. Came mid February 2014, they told me they front bumper will be ready in 2 weeks, and the rear bumper will be 2 weeks after that. This process dragged out for three more months. It was May until I finally received what I ordered THREE MONTHS LATE!!!
So, some might say its normal to receive something late, but there were a lot more issues during the transaction. Originally when they advertised for the bumper, the picture showed all supporting frames, associated lips etc. but when they were about to ship, they told me all other accessories are not included, if I want them it would cost me another $4,000. All of these parts were OEM, so of course, they had me waiting for another month.
Having spent an additional $4,000 on OEM parts that were needed to install, Beau told me shipping this would cost ~$1,500, but by the time they are ready to ship, the shipping became $2,600 another additional $1,000 from what was quoted. Of course, this was not something they could control since shipping prices were determined by the shipping company... Some might ask why I continued the transaction with them? The reason was because I live in Taiwan, and I was worried that I would never get my money back if I cancel the order. (To those who are wondering, please find disputes other people have had with them on line) And I do not plan on making a lawsuit overseas.
Finally, the package arrived, but there were 2 OEM parts missing. I immediately reported this to Wicked, but they told me they were sure that those two parts were packed, and it must have gotten lost during customs. I then asked the shipping company about this, but they said their personnel were at the customs when this box went through. Although it was opened, nothing was taken out, so there was no chance of the parts not being placed back in since nothing was taken out to begin with. (I have no way of finding out whether or not these parts were ever put in the box at the first place...) Now Wicked left me working with the shipping company and insurance on my own, and the only support Wicked is giving me is ordering another set of the parts and asking me for another $600 to have them shipped to Taiwan.
If anyone is thinking about order from them, please be careful. You will end up spending much much more than what was advertised in order to have the kit complete. Hope this helps some of you who has been thinking about purchasing kits from them in the future...

Sorry to hear about your horrible and very expensive experience. Others have complained about the QC of their products. Thanks for the heads up. Hope things work out for you.

This entire alleged incident needs a complete investigation and prosecution. I'm referring you to the Texas Rangers. Ask for Ranger Walker. He will either help you or destroy them.
Buy new lights. Sue them for the amount of the replacement lights.
Or, you know, let your car sit in the shop forever waiting to find a lawyer whose time this is actually worth. Clearly the guy you want on your side is the one willing to work on a consumer protection case that involves a single set of missing headlights.
Larry H. Parker will not be getting you 2.1 million dollars.
Perhaps these guys will take the missing headlights case? They are very good I have seen them in court dozens of times.
Takes a lifetime to build a reputation and a second to destroy it. Take comfort in knowing that thousands of potential customers will not order from them. I was about to purchase their gt2 bumper kit and misc. other parts
Not any more. Many others doing the same.
You know, if Walker Texas Ranger finds out you are doing a 997TT conversion of a 996TTS, Walker himself just may kick YOUR ***. Especially if it's a coupe - they imported like 180 of those total into the US.
hi everyone, thanks to everyone in here who felt with me the nightmare,i am about to finish the upgrade and needs some assistance on the fog lights brakets
anyone here had done the 996 tt to 997 tt front bumper upgrade can give me info on the fog lights brackets plz?
I had to refuse delivery of my shipment - it weighed 3 pounds more than it did when it was shipped, and I'm afraid Islamic State jihadists have added a colander bomb to the shipment. IKIBED's (Improvised Kitchen Implement-Based Explosive Devices) are no laughing matter. Colander bombs are responsible for more kitchen-appliance and kitchen-implement explosive deaths than ANY OTHER kitchen tool.
After researching local attorneys, paralegals, superheros, and superhero sidekicks, I have decided to pursue a case with this young attorney-to-be's assistance. I think I have an excellent chance of finding legal satisfaction with Ms. Woods' aid.
Since finding such amazing representation, I have also decided to reopen my existing case against Chef Boyardee over a can of mini ravioli that was clearly underpacked at the factory. Such blatant abuse of consumers must not tolerated! They must be taught a lesson; otherwise, pseudo-Italian convenience food manufacturers in America will continue their collusionary practices to interfere with our God-given right to develop type II diabetes! Join the fight! Remember our catchy slogans:
32 Raviolis in EVERY Can, MAN
and
Keep Kicking *** Until They Amputate Your Necrotic Legs!!!
Hope this helps.
