Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have seen it some old threads but nothing recent. Anyone have success with a forward facing toddler seat for the back of a 996 (Targa)? My daughter is about 37 inches and 30 pounds. Thanks in advance.

POST 3Original post

Brita is the manufacturer for Porsche. They are the exact same ones without the Porsche branding. I had a toddler one in the rear and one in the front with the airbag curoff devbice. I still have the Airbag cutoff device if you want.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

In my Jeep I use Maxi-Cosi Pria 85. I honestly have not tried to fit it. Was planning to purchase a separate unit to leave installed in the Porsche.

POST 5Original post

Dranon, are you still considering selling the airbag shutoff for a baby seat? I'm interested if so. Please message me. Matt

POST 6Original post

I was able to fit an evenflo symphony in the back of my convertible. I tried a dozen out and that one was the best one. I removed the backseat paddings to make it fit.

POST 7Original post

Glad to see this discussion start again, most of the car seats in earlier threads are out of production. I fit a Nuna Rava thats pretty snug, but it sits at an angle. I also tried a COSCO next and it was impossible to get tight. Would love to hear what you end up using.

POST 8Original post

the porsche tequipment junior seat will fit. it's actually my favorite out of the handful of other brands and models we've tested/bought to use in other cars. while it is missing the chest clip that a lot of the newer models have/tout as a must-have, i actually prefer that the extra sturdy and comfy shoulder strap. also, the protectice cloth behind the buckle is great to have because I'm always paranoid about pinching the kid's thighs when I strap him in. somebody is actually selling one on the parts forum right now.

POST 9Original post

https://rennlist.com/forums/parts-ma...nior-seat.html I still had to remove the lower seat from the back, but fits snug. If this one sells, I have one too that I am looking to sell. I live in ATL, local. pickup is better. Seat is heavy, so shipping is pretty expensive due to size and weight. Used it maybe 3 - 5 times, purchased from a fellow reenlister.

POST 10Original post

Do you have a Buy Buy Baby near you? You leave your drivers license with them, they let you take the display models out to your car to test fit. One pointer. The lower / thinner the car set bottom is, the more you can scoot the front seat back and still have room for the kid. When I had a maxi cosi rubi, it was my wife or the kid, but not both. When we switch to a booster with a thin bottom, we can now take family drives. I would have picked a different car seat, but cab's have no latch points, so it was seat belt only. The maxi rubi cosi is probably best seat belt only seat I've seen (save for older Porsche seat) and can still be bought new via ebay in Switzerland I think. Goodl luck!
