Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

hi folks, please can anybody help, put my first key thru washing machine, had it repaired and tried to get it to resync to car .the second key was working perfect but now whatever i have done its now not working . its a 2004 carrera. car is starting with both keys, manual lock working. i have read more options on internet but all different. regards to all

POST 2Original post

You'll need to bring the key and the car to the Porsche dealer to have it reprogrammed. That's as long as you didn't ruin the internal electronics. They will be able to tell you.

POST 3Original post

The only way they can reprogram is if you have the 20+digit barcode. It might be in your manual or service book if someone replaced a key and saved the number. like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-Box...Make%3APorsche

POST 4Original post

Hello ,you need to reprogram remote control again ,without code 24 character (card) isn't possible, dealer sold you new key fob but you haven't to buy next one new. I can help you with this issue ,contact me directly by private message. Regards

POST 5Original post

smuko, do you sell replacement keys (well housing and electronics?) and can you walk me through programming them?

POST 6Original post

I've been down this road with my BMWs and late model SAABs. (yes, SAAB had keyfobs!) Anyway, I would advise you to not take the easy route, but go to the dealership and get you two new keyfobs programmed. Heck, they may be able to reprogram the one that got washed. I wish Porsche was like BMW where you can go to the dealership, show ID, and title, and order more keys. I believe Porsche will require the car to be present while programming new keyfobs.

POST 7Original post

Dealership need the car because they program the car to the keys not the other way around.

POST 8Original post

Second way to program key (remote control part) exist . I can do this directly on table without car ,only PAS unit and key is neccessary I do gratis this for somebody who need this help .For more question contact me direct by PM. regards
