Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
It may not, but if they start replacing staff to increase profits, all bets are off.
Leading evidence: 'Replace staff' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace staff' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

As a former BMW guy I was not too happy with their purchase of Turner Motorsports.
I ordered a lot from both Turner and ECS.
One always seemed to have better prices than the other.
Once ECS purchased Turner, the prices became identical.
Less competition raised the prices.
Well the ECS CEO Imran Jooma makes $1,473,514 a year.

With a background in sales and marketing at Sears and Circuit City what could go wrong?
I just purchased Spacers from ECS, the product and price were fine, though front and rear shipped from different locations a week apart and the 7mm spacers came with 15mm bolts and the 15mm spacers came with 7mm bolts.
That could have been very dangerous had I not been paying attention. I emailed them about it, but Zero response
WOW, perhaps the most eye opening thread in this forum yet! I'm a long time BMW guy and ECS was typically my last resort after BavAuto, Pelican, FCPeuro and Turner (in that order) -- always thought of ECS as a small start up with the aforementioned being far more established and with more reach. Clearly i was WAY off. Sad given Pelican's customer service, but such is the case in this modern era of corporate consolidation.
On a side note, I find it really surprising the consistently low prices i see from the Atlanta Porsche dealer (Perimeter Parts) -- they are consistently cheaper than any of the aforementioned -- not something i could say about BMW. Love me some Perimeter!
Ecs has been good to me while pelican was overpriced, terrible website, etc. ive since ordered from the new pelican twice and been very pleased.
Good change if you ask me
Old news...that happened quite awhile ago. We discussed it on the Pelican forum months ago, maybe even a year ago now.
My understanding is that Pelican was bought by a holding company that also owns ECS, so technically ECS is not taking over Pelican, they are both owned by the same parent company now. From what has been discussed on the Pelican forums according to the employees it's been business as usual there.
IMO Pelican is the best out there, I've done business with Pelican for almost 20 years now. Hopefully ECS won't screw it up...IMO ECS is a disaster to deal with in comparison.
Kudos to Wayne for building a great business and getting out on top!
Thanks for the kind words guys, if you'd like to learn a bit more about what's going on; check out this link. Wayne chimes in as well with his thoughts.

Customer service may not disappear, it just may get re-located to such far flung and exotic places like Cebu or Lakhnadon, which doesn't bother me until I have to spell out every word phonetically.
Thanks to google and weather.com, theyll happily tell you how wonderful the weather is in whatever major city corresponds to your area code. If youve moved recently, they might be wrong.
Always had good luck with pelican
The ECS preassembled kits for a lot of stuff are great.
But I'm going with fcp euro to see if I can bankrupt them with the lifetime parts guarantee. They even guarantee oil filters.
I keep all my cars a long, long time.
I used to buy from ECS Tuning. I stopped buying OEM parts from them several years ago. I only buy from them for parts that FCP didn't sell. Now I only buy from FCP Euro. A company that offers lifetime warranty on ALL of their parts was enough for me to make the switch. In theses days of profits over everything else, I have to support a company that still values their customers over profits.
I do the same with my athletic shoes. I only buy New Balance. They are the only ones I know who still manufacture some of their shoes in the US.
You can't complain about the jobs leaving the US/profits over people and still buy from them. Too many people do. Once they see that the model of offering lifetime warranties and manufacturing in the US is what the customer supports, the competition will adopt that model.
Sorry. Just really passionate about this topic.
