Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Driving the car in light traffic, 5 miles into a short drive. Just as I accelerate in 3rd gear, roughly 50 mph I get a engine light and the engine stalls. I pull over, check status and see the engine light "take in for Service" on the dash. I start the engine, it idles for 2 seconds , gasps for air, sputter and stall. tow the car home and same, start idle for 2 and stall. Check the codes, clear the codes, try again and same response. the 2 second idles sounds great, and poof its off. I'm getting gas to start, so DME is out.. I don't know whether to start with plugs and coils or if I can get some feedback on what other direction to go. 2003 996TT - 41K. Tuned/serviced 18 months/500 miles ago. Codes read with Durametric reader/software. Any ideas?

You may get better help in the turbo 996 forum as your error codes are related to the turbos (boost).
