Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have an issue starting the car if it's at operating temperature and have let it sit for 5 or 10 minutes. It coughs and misfires once, and then stops. On the second attempt is starts ok-ish. If I let it sit for 20 or 30 minutes, it starts perfectly, same as when it's cold. This is what I have done so far. The MAF sensor has been checked. Tried it with a new one at Porsche and no difference. The cable between the alternator, starter and battery has been replaced. The alternator has been checked and is fine. It's had the Crank Position Sensor replaced, by Porsche. Could it be a leaking fuel injector? If you stop the engine while hot and try and start it immediately, it starts ok (no chance for the injector to leak) If I let it sit, perhaps the fuel leaks into a cylinder and therefore coughs and misfires on start. Second attempt is ok because the fuel has burnt off on the first attempt? If it sits long enough the fuel evaporates and it starts ok? Any advice or feedback would be greatly appreciated!! It's becoming quite frustrating and I just want to get it sorted! It's a 2003 C2 manual
