Any suggestions on the best path to take running backup camera wires from the front to the rear? Did see a post where it was run (basically) behind the rear speaker, through a grommet, then through a second grommet into the tail light area. Getting to the first grommet behind the tail light was trivial, but not sure how obvious the second grommet/bulk head is, so just thought i'd ask if i m missing anything simpler. Thanks!

If I was going to install a backup camera on my 996.1, I would consider a wireless backup camera like the the Auto-Vox Solar.

What camera are you using? I bought a Wolfbox GP900Pro Mirror but I have decide to just go with a back up camera instead. I have a Sony head unit and just started looking for a camera.

Mainly because I own a cabriolet, the camera can only be mounted a license plate level. There is no way this provides a proper, full time view to the rear. It will simply be too low and the view blocked most of the time. If I had a way to mount it higher, I would have tried. I wound up installing a simple backup camera. I was going to install it on my 4Runner instead but I sold it and my new Land Cruiser already has a digital mirror. It appears to be a great product though. I actually gave it to the owner of the shops who was working on my car. He is the one that recommended it and already has two of them installed.
