If you care about resale (haha, I know that's funny), then hold onto the originals and run the OZ wheels as your daily setup.

Alternatively, if you plan to autoX or track the car, I'd run the stock wheels with new tires and get dedicated racing rubber for the OZ wheels.

I like the idea of having a spare set, but garage space is at a premium, and I could use the cash from selling the wheels towards other P-car projects (shifter improvement comes to mind).

If you're going to do any AX or DE, put super sticky tires on one set and use the others for the street.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Greetings all, I am the very proud owner of a 2003 C2. It's been doing duty as both my weekend fun car and daily commuter, and I'm loving it. Over the three months of ownership, I've taken the back tires from "so-so" to "darn near bald", and it's rainy season here in SoCal.
Never mind the tire choice, looks like there's enough threads on that topic already, what I need to figure out is this; my car came equipped with a set of gray OZ Alleggerita HLT wheels installed, plus the original 18" "Turbo Look" rims, in boxes. Which ones to use, and what to do with the other set? Opinions?

I'm in North County, 4S Ranch area (about 5-10 minutes away from Highland Valley Road)
I'd love to check out a PCA event, but that weekend is spoken-for
My guess is the OZ wheels would bring more $.
IMHO, they also look better and are the ones I would keep...
If storage isn't an issue, I'd keep both. If you're going to do any AX or DE, put super sticky tires on one set and use the others for the street.

Oddly enough, the fact the the PO had the stock wheels was a selling point for me, as I was never a big fan of aftermarket wheels on 'upscale' cars, but since then the OZs have really grown on me. I like the idea of having a spare set, but garage space is at a premium, and I could use the cash from selling the wheels towards other P-car projects (shifter improvement comes to mind). I guess I'm trying to rationalize breaking away from my pack-rat instincts, and having an extra set of wheels takes up a lot of space. You wouldn't believe the random little items I still have laying around from long gone previous vehicles...
This is what your car will look like with your other wheels. Nice, but if I had a choice I'd take the OZ wheels. BTW, what front lip does your car have?
Yeah, I do like those factory wheels, but the oddest thing bugs me - I wish they were left/right specific, (like a 1990s 300ZX). I suppose I have talked myself into going with the OZs at this point.
Anyone wanna' buy a nice set of 18" turbos?
I don't know the brand of front lip, I like the looks of it, but I think it would integrate better if I had the aero rocker panel trim too. The car looks a little shovel-nosed as it is.
