Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I want to get lowering springs and just need to know what to be aware of 2002 C2.

POST 2Original post

There are no special tools needed other than spring compressors. A special socket to take the top nut loose helps, but it can be done with normal hand tools. If you're taking it to a shop they should have no issues whatsoever. If they hesitate at all, run in the opposite direction because it's a really easy job and if they don't seem confident they shouldn't be working on your car. If you're doing it yourself just get a quality set of spring compressors and you're good to go.

POST 3Original post

BTW in case it wasn't obvious you'll want to get an alignment after the new springs are installed.

POST 4Original post

It is a pretty easy install, spring compressors are a must. I get to have the joy of doing it again, as I just purchased H&R springs, and having installed new Bilsteins just last fall.
