Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

solid question, but no its at the mid setting - but have also checked clearances.
Leading evidence: 'Check clearances' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check clearances' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I had never noticed it until I switched over to a set of Numeric Cables and my initial assumption was they were installed incorrectly or not aligned quite right.

I gave the transmission builder carte blanche to change anything that needed to be fixed and they couldn't find any issues with 3,4,5 gears

Replaced the cables but no difference, if anyone has any ideas or has seen anything like this Im running into a wall trying to figure this one out.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have had the box rebuilt since this presented with no change
Hey y'all, I've been hunting down an issue with my G96 box for months and cannot seem to figure out what is happening. Hoping someone here has had an experience like this or heard of something.
The problem
Once the box gets up to temp I find it very difficult to shift OUT of fourth gear. It is just this gear, no other gears present any issue and going into gear is not a problem that I can perceive either. I will add that it is worse when the car is decelerating (so going from 4->3 is this most difficult) but you can feel it some accelerating 4->5.
When it presented
I had never noticed it until I switched over to a set of Numeric Cables and my initial assumption was they were installed incorrectly or not aligned quite right. Also since it is most noticeable when warm I also assumed it was something else and the solid cables were perhaps transmitting the issue more. I've since checked and had my indy check both at least 3x and everything seems exactly to what Numeric says for the install.
Things to rule out
I have had the box rebuilt since this presented with no change
All synchros were replaced at the time
3->4 shift fork was also replaced at the time since it was apart and I thought this might be the issue
LSD is brand new and installed at this time as well
I gave the transmission builder carte blanche to change anything that needed to be fixed and they couldn't find any issues with 3,4,5 gears
I feel 95% confident having had the box out twice and apart to look for an issue that it's not internal to the box BUT really scratching my head on this one.
@De Jeeper
That's the logical next move - but the original cables were starting to come apart at the ends so I junked those. Would need to purchase a new set to test that :/
Maybe someone has a set from a recent swap that u can borrow for testing. Ill look but i dont think i have a set of cables laying around. Have u tried reaching out to numeric?
Well. Replaced the cables but no difference, if anyone has any ideas or has seen anything like this Im running into a wall trying to figure this one out.
definitely not a bang and it doesnt feel like the clutch is dragging. The best way I could describe it is it feels like Im stretching the shift cable to get out of gear. Which is weird because it would be pushing the cable back with that motion.
