Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Instead I used 1 1/2 inch SS for the Fister, and used the valve for the Gundo bypass.
Leading evidence: 'Use 1 1/2 inch ss' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use 1 1/2 inch ss' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I picked up a pair of used OEM mufflers to do the fisher mods.

The remote uses 3 pressure switches for on, off and auto(which is just on with time duration).
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hey, looking for some opinions. My 996.1 with 3.8 coming out of break in period. I picked up a pair of used OEM mufflers to do the fisher mods. However, when I got them, they rattled like something was loose. Looked like one of them had been repaired in the past so I cut along the welds to open it. Turns out the initial intake perforated tube on both had broke off it's welds and loose in the muffler. Just though I'd check to see if anybody had done a OEM muffler baffle delete and if they were happy with the sound? Thanks
What is a Fisher mod ? Did you mean Fister mod ? Fister mod is a solid known modification of the stock mufflers . But there are companies out there that partially or fully gut the internals of the stock mufflers . I say modify the internals and see how you like it . If nothing else you will remove some weight out of the boat anchor heavy stock mufflers .
I decided to takeout out the first stage baffle since it was loose. I got a set of electric exhaust valves off Amazon and was going to use them for the Fister mod but was unable to squeeze them in. Instead I used 1 1/2 inch SS for the Fister, and used the valve for the Gundo bypass. Fister alone gives a higher pitch tone while both Gundo and Fister gives a slightly lower and quieter tone. Still more noticeable than stock. I got a PSM switch and just hacked the remote to operate on and off.
I've removed the insides of my OEM mufflers and they sound SOOOO much better! Much better than the Fister or Gundo hack. I wouldn't waste my money on either of those (don't ask me why...lol) These exhaust are so restrictive it's amazing they even flow. Highly recommend cutting out the inlet and exit tube inside the muffler housing!
Yes. I had a company in Southren California cut my mufflers in half, remove the internals of my mufflers and reweld them. The sound was awesome. Look up my old posts for more details.
The remote uses 3 pressure switches for on, off and auto(which is just on with time duration). The PSM switch is just a intermittent toggle on-off-on switch, so soldering wires to the corresponding pressure switch activated the selected remote button. Remote retains the battery so I'll have to disassemble if the battery goes dead.
