Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just drove along a local backroad . It had flooded and I was unable to turn around or stop without going through water probably up to the bottom of the doors or so. The car is driving fine. Is there anything that needs checked after this to avoid damage or dry out? thanks

POST 2Original post

Make sure theres no moisture under the drivers seat but otherwise I think youll be fine if the car is still running.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks, the carpet just inside the doors is dry, so I think no water got in there. I'll check the airbox though and over the next couple of drives. I just couldn't turn around and just hoped the water wasn't getting deeper but kept going and I do think the seals are pretty good on the 996.

POST 4Original post

As other have said, take a good look under drivers seat. Shove your hand under there and try to feel around and determine if there is any moisture. If there is, disconnect the battery and pull the seat out and take a better look and dry it out if necessary. Any moisture there is not a good thing.
