Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a PIWIS III. I'm attempting to turn off auto locks. So far no joy. Has anyone succeeded in turning off auto locks with PIWIS III? If yes what is the procedure? Thank you.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The 996 in question is running an Audi 2.7t engine ECU. I'm getting a communication error when attempting to connect to the alarm module via PIWIS III? Is this due to a non Porsche DME?

POST 4Original post

Lol, thats certainly a possibility. Is there an option to manually select the vehicle, instead of asking it to automatically identify it? You might be able to establish connection this way Another method I would consider is to swap the 996 DME back into the car, but DO NOT START THE ENGINE at all . Then see if PIWIS can connect. I assume you purchased the Audi 2.7t kit from those guys, so you may want to discuss your options with them first , so that you ensure you can connect successfully without causing a mess in the process.
