Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suspected cause
If the problem is indeed low fluid, you'll want to see how much is missing and ask yourself where the rest of the fluid went...
Leading evidence: 'indeed low fluid, you'll want' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'indeed low fluid, you'll want' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Fill with' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

You can replace (expensive) or send them away for refurb (less expensive).
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

My top wont go down. Im going to top off the fluid and find out why its low.
Can I buy the fluid off the shelf? What type hydraulic fluid do I ask for at the local parts store?
found both below via GOOGLE/SEARCH on RL

post #11 for the fluid:

You'll want to get your hands on some Pentosin CHF-11S fluid (green can).
I had a similar problem with my top when I got the car. PO had drained all the fluid and sourced a new convertible top brain box. At the end of the day, the reason the top stopped working is because the winglet on the driver side needed some lubrication. It was getting stuck and causing the top mechanism to stop working. All of those parts need to be in proper "phase" working together or the roof will stop working.
If those items don't get your roof working, next best bet is the hydraulic cylinders that actually do the heavy lifting, or the motor itself. If the problem is indeed low fluid, you'll want to see how much is missing and ask yourself where the rest of the fluid went...
If it turns out to be the hydraulics cylinders/pistons, then you will need to remove them. You can replace (expensive) or send them away for refurb (less expensive).
I hope your problem is not the motor, that looks like a PITA job. Glad I didn't have to go there.
Hopefully, you have the hard top so you can turn it into a coupe for a while, if it turns out you need to order or ship off parts for refurb.
Good luck.
Thanks. I will be looking into where the fluid went. Already researched getting cylinders rebuilt.
No hard top but it lives in a garage , so no biggie there.
I am also searching for a hard top.
