Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

My car has the same one but I upgraded the plastic bushings with ball bearings and I have it adjusted so it's a nice shifting experience.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just picked up a 2000 C2 and it has a short shift it that I can not identify. It looks like anodized aluminum. The forward adjustment bolt also looks like it's missing a locknut. Thanks in advance for the help

POST 2Original post

Looks like a copy of a B&M short shifter that has been copied a million times. They can be had anywhere from like $50 bucks to $200ish depending where you purchase it from. My car has the same one but I upgraded the plastic bushings with ball bearings and I have it adjusted so it's a nice shifting experience. It took out pretty much all of back and forth play and still has a tiny bit of side to side play. I'll be playing around with various centering springs to see if I can McGyver something together, for fun.
