Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

As I'm checking off winter projects on my 2003 C4S , I'm having also having a wee bit of body work done. The front bumper is scuffed and dented and the body shop has told me that the cost differential between repairing my existing C4S bumper skin is only about $10 less than replacing it with a new skin from the factory. Since I'm likely going to go the replacement/repaint route for the bumper skin, I'm thinking I'd like to have the GT3/Cup-style front bumper instead of the original C4S/Turbo bumper. In my searching, I came across this piece in Colorado Springs: https://www.gt-racing.com/porsche-99...hts-part-661l/ Does anyone on the forum have experience working with this group and is thus able to speak to the quality and fit of the part? Thanks in advance.

POST 3Original post

In regards to GT-Racing parts, keep in mind that most of what they offer is designed for track cars and the fit and finish isn't going to be OEM like. I have used their parts on past projects, and the work required to get them to fit was quite extensive, your mileage may vary.

POST 4Original post

The C4S/turbo bumper and associated airflow bits are very, very good at moving air where it should be moved. I've spent a fair bit of time trying to incorporate some of the features into my C2 nose. I'd be wary of moving away from it without solid information showing at least no harm. Also the air ducts, wheel well liners, and other underbody connecting pieces are going to be different for turbo-style vs. non-turbo nose.

POST 5Original post

Your 4S radiators are much bigger than the C2/gt3/cup units and you will have a hard time getting a c2 type bumper cover on your car.
