Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

14 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Anyone have one lying around? Just need the little O-ring retaining clip. Or a link to a rebuild kit for the white injectors (I looked but found no exact mach) Sent mine out to NAPA for testing and they sent one back missing the clip (they said it broke) and never bothered to tell me. Said all was good, WTF Anyway, they handed me some "pintle caps" and said that should work...True or false? So much for getting it all buttoned up Saturday!

POST 2Original post

II am pretty sure I have some injectors lying around but wont be back home until next week to check.

Thanks bud!

POST 4Original post

Does it matter whether they are boxster or 996 injectors? I am sure I have both but I will check next week and get back.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just need the donut clip (pops right off) that holds the 0-ring on. Bottom of injector. I'll post a picture tomorrow.

POST 6Original post

perfect….post a picture of whole injector and then the piece you are looking for...sounds simple enough in that I can just send in an envelope so there should be no shipping.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Not the best picture, but you can see the reddish brown retaining clip on one. That's what I need to secure the O-ring.

POST 8Original post

Got it...will look for it amongst my parts early next week.

POST 9Original post

I am back home and will be going out to my warehouse to look for the injectors in the next few days....Will keep you posted.

POST 11Original post

here is my 3.4L injector....don't know why it is different. Let me know what you want to do.

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I don't think that has a removable O-Ring retainer? Looks like one piece.

POST 13Original post

yep...that is what I think. It seems that maybe mine are after market ones...the partnumber on the injector found me this http://www.gasgoo.com/auto-products/...3/1628666.html I think you may need to find the exact one you have or get a whole new set. Maybe just buy this one and harvest clip.... https://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-Fue...item1ed542cd3b Worst comes to worse I can sell you my six for cheap....

POST 14 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'll try to modify the Pintle cap NAPA gave me (should work as long as it seats tightly) Thanks for looking. If all else fails I'll get back to you on your set..
