Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

This looks like the style that drops into the grille after removing the retractable spoiler, rather than the style I have which replaces the whole decklid.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello everyone, I've been a lurker here for about six months since buying my 996. It's a wonderful community, and I thank you all for it. I joined as I have a question about a spoiler that came with my 996. The guy I bought it from bought to put on the 996 Convertible, but said it wouldn't fit because it was a convertible. I'm going to be selling it, but to do so fairly and ethically, I need to know a little more about it. Does anyone here recognize the manufacturer or design of it? It doesn't appear to be OEM. What cars would it fit and what type of install would be expected of any purchaser? I appreciate any info that you may have. Thanks! Joshua

POST 3Original post

Definitely not OEM based on the inside. It looks pretty rough on the underside. I don't have a lot to compare it to, but my Getty GT3 RS spoiler looks a lot more finished underneath. The screens are not easily accessible (although they are held on by that same odd wire arrangement). Actually, maybe it is. This looks like the style that drops into the grille after removing the retractable spoiler, rather than the style I have which replaces the whole decklid. I'd give Getty a call. They've always been super helpful.

POST 4Original post

Depending upon the price and location, I might be interested if it attaches to a stock rear deck.

Are you thinking of getting rid of your taco?

POST 6Original post

No, but if the price is right, I'd add a GT3-03 style to my choices of what to wear. Kind of like right now I can go round headlights or egg white headlights whenever I want. I like choices.

It appears to attach to a stock deck based on dimensions and size. Feel free to make me an offer. Preliminary pricing suggests new is around $1500, though I haven't narrowed down exactly which one this is yet. I'm in SC but can ship... Thanks, Joshua

I didn't see this model on their website, but it's a good place to start. Thanks!
