Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My cab has a bit of a gap on the passenger side. I looked inside for any loose cables but didn't see anything. Just wondering if anyone has some experience out there as this might be a quick fix. Thanks in advance.

This should help you. My tensioner cable rivet popped while going over a rough section of road and it looked just like this (and yours).

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks guys, I will check this out and report back.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ok, it looks like this is the same case as the thread, but when I look for the part number I dont see it anywhere in the US, I do see it in UK though. part 99756192100. I saw someone make one... wondering if I have to take that route.

POST 6Original post

So I took some pictures when I fixed mine. I used a stainless bolt instead of a rivet so it wouldn't break again. I'll find them and try to post them up tomorrow. Whole project took an hour or so. D.

POST 7Original post

Could be the cable itself is broken too. Like mine.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ok guys....it was the rivet. Found a guy in NJ who was able to repair it in about 40 mins for under $100 bucks. If you have the same priblem and in jersey look up John at Ace auto upholstery. Here is how mine looked:
