Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am going to replace my wheel bearings while I am overhauling the suspension on the track car. I noticed there is a GT-3 wheel bearing part number listed for a few bucks more. Do these fit our cars and has anybody installed the GT3 ones before? Stock PT No. 999-053-041-04-M34 GT3 PT No. 999-053-054-06-M34

POST 2Original post

IIRC the bearing is physically a different size but it's been awhile so take it with a grain of salt.

POST 3Original post

Here is the answer I got when inquiring about a GT3 conversion. What are you upgrading your suspension to? "GT3 and C2 are different diameters. So essentially everything has to be changed. Knuckle, wheel bearings, axles, brake caliper, brake rotor, brake line, shocks. About the only thing you can reuse is the hub."

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The car has 112K miles on it . Some of the rubber bushings have been deteriorating especially on the lower Bilstein coilovers effecting the alignment among other stuff. I am going all out - JRZ RS Pros, Tarret Camber plates, Cup LCAs, Solid subframe mounts, ERP supports all around, GT3 swaybars, and other stuff.

POST 5Original post

That's a helluvan upgrade! Should be rock solid and fun to drive. What tire brand/size do you use?

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 13380169

Thanks! I run Nitto NT01s. They seem to last forever. I am still using a set that has over 15 track days and a few AX events. It helps that the car is lightweight - 2656 lbs.

POST 7Original post

Quotes source post: 13380211

Ya that's insanely light. I'm still a ways away from going down the weight reduction path. The stripped interior, race seats and AC delete seem to be about enough to compensate for the full cage.

POST 8Original post

Quotes source post: 13380211

How were you able to get down to 2656lbs.? Did you also use any lighter body panels?

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Sure did. More here: https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...rack-mods.html

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Seems there might be some differences between the two wheel bearings types so I am going for the stock version to be safe.
